Self-Care has somewhat become a trending topic, especially right now during these unprecedented times. It can be difficult to properly define what it is, as many of us may give it different meanings and connotations based on our own priorities, likes and ‘go to activities’ when we need to feel replenished and recharged.
Self- Care is very individual and the essence of it is to perform an activity of any kind which will support your mental and physical wellbeing. For some, self-care may mean going for a walk, watching their favourite film, doing their nails, having a cup of tea, reading a book, having a bath, etc. Self-Care is that ‘feel good’ feeling, a feeling of happiness and replenishment, feeling happy and positive. Self-Care also improves anxiety and helps you improve the knowledge about yourself and how you relate to others.
